Guidelines, targets and incentives are set to ensure that the business continuously strives to improve the safety of its work. Principal Energy also regards the need for individual responsibility as critical through all levels of the business and this is an essential part of its culture.
A Behavioural Safety Programme has been developed and initiated throughout Principal Energy. The programme is called ACT. How we act defines how we behave as individuals, which in turn affects how others perceive us and how each and every one of us reflect on all aspects of our business operations.
It is the aim of Principal Energy to provide our customers with a quality of work and service that meets requirements and expectations in a cost-efficient and professional manner. To achieve and maintain the required quality of work and services, and to ensure compliance with the regulations and industry standards for safe and efficient operations, an integrated management system has been implemented for the area of Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Security.
The management systems will be certified according to ISO-9001:2008 ‘Quality Management System’, ISO 14001:2004 ‘Environmental Management Systems’ and OHSAS 18001:2007 ‘Occupational health and safety management systems’ by Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
Principal Energy is fully committed to providing a service to its clients that enables projects to be completed within time, budget, specification and in such a manner that no harm to the workforce or the environment occurs.

The ultimate responsibility lies with the Executive Chairman who is chairman of the Board HSEQ Committee. This committee will ensure the organisation is guided and resourced to enable implementation and continual improvement of the HSEQ management system.
